A walk-in COVID-19 screening clinic will take place in Ormstown on Friday, August 7 at the Recreation Centre. The mobile clinic will be able to test up to 500 people without a previous appointment from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“This service is intended for people who have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or anyone presenting with any of the symptoms of the disease,” says Jade St-Jean, the executive advisor for external communications, media and ministerial relations for the CISSSMO (Integrated Health and Social Service Centres of the Montérégie-West).
Individuals should consider being tested if they have any of the following symptoms: fever, difficulty breathing, the recent onset or worsening of a cough, a sudden loss of sense of smell without nasal congestion with or without loss of taste, muscle aches, headache, severe fatigue, or loss of appetite, sore throat, or diarrhea.
In addition to the mobile screening clinic in Ormstown this Friday, the CISSSMO will continue to deploy its mobile clinics every Wednesday in a municipality within the region covered by the regional health and social services network.
