Huntingdon’s new Blooming Valley Garden Club welcomes everyone, from seasoned gardeners to the simply curious. Share tips, stories, and seeds while learning about seasonal gardening, wildlife-friendly practices, and more. Best of all, it’s free to join!
Formed last fall, the club has already hosted several lively meetings. Members swapped gardening tips, shared stories, and explored practical ideas for every type of gardener.
Past gatherings covered fall harvests, preparing gardens for winter, promoting healthy wildlife and bird populations, and crafting natural garlands.
In January, the club held its first-ever Seedy Saturday, a seed-sharing event, while poring over seed catalogs.
The next meeting is Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Little Green Library in Huntingdon.
Topics include indoor and outdoor seed starting, spring garden planning, and water conservation. Attendees are encouraged to bring extra seeds to share.
All ages and experience levels are welcome, whether you have a flourishing garden or are just curious to see if your thumb might be green.
