Huntingdon decathlete Marcus Legros brought home a bronze medal from the 2026 Canadian Track and Field Championships, which took place at the Terry Fox Athletic Centre in Ottawa from June 17 to 21. This was the first medal at the senior men’s national level for Legros, who trains with the Club d’Athlétisme Saint Laurent-Sélect. He and 11 other competitors took part in the grueling ten-discipline event over two cold and rainy days. He finished the competition with a gutsy performance in the 1500-metre run to secure the bronze medal with a total of 6379 points.
