Halló! We are two members of the Ormstown Scouts. Since our trip to Alberta in July 2025, where we visited dinosaur museums, hiked around Lake Louise, and visited the West Edmonton Mall, we have been preparing for a new trip, this time to Iceland.
In July 2026, there will be an International Scout Jamboree in Iceland, and the Ormstown Scouts will join more than 400 young people from the Canadian contingent. We are excited to meet new Scouts and discover a new community. We are also very excited to see geysers and hot springs.
To reduce the cost of this incredible trip to Iceland, we are currently in the midst of a fundraising campaign. After selling calendars and collecting cans, our Scout group is organizing a spaghetti dinner on March 15 and a Dungeons & Dragons night on March 22. We are also selling seeds and gift cards. Finally, we are raising funds with GoFundMe. Your financial support is essential for many of us who would not be able to afford such a trip.
