Junior rugby finals played in Ormstown

The Ormstown Saracens, in collaboration with Rugby Chateauguay, hosted the provincial junior rugby finals at Chateauguay Valley Regional High School on August 13. Teams from across the province arrived in Ormstown for a full day of rugby, with games being played on three fields throughout the day.

The girls U14, U16, and U18 divisions played 7s rugby, while the boys divisions played 15s. Most teams were composed of players from multiple clubs. The collaboration, teamwork, and respect that rugby is known for was on full display, leading to a high-energy and fun-filled day.

Local players from the Ormstown Saracens and Chateauguay clubs were featured on four of the six teams that brought home provincial championships, including the U16 and U18 girls and the U14 and U18 boys. (SR)
