Making spirits bright and Christmas stress-free

PHOTO Sarah Rennie

How lucky is young Jaxon Vandette? Not only did he get to enjoy his first taste of cotton candy during the Haut-Saint-Laurent CommuniT Nights event in Ormstown on December 8, but he also had some one-on-one time with Santa Claus himself. Visitors were treated to a festive evening in which all the participating community organizations offered tips for a stress-free Christmas, including ideas for low-cost decorations, homemade gifts, and activities to do at home with the kids. Families enjoyed a delicious and free spaghetti supper, while children were able to deliver their wishes to Santa in time for the big night. The next CommuniT Nights evening will take place at the Centre Barberivain in Saint-Barbe in March, followed by the last one for the year in May at Heritage Elementary in Huntingdon. (SR)
