A 29-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital in with serious injuries following a collision with a vehicle Thursday evening in Ormstown. The collision took place around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Route 138 and Gale Street.
According to a report published by Agence QMI, the driver of the motorcycle failed to make the mandatory stop at the intersection. The driver of the vehicle, who was driving on Gale Street, was not able to avoid the collision. The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Suroît Hospital in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, where he remains in critical condition. Collision investigation officers from the Sûreté du Québec were called to the scene, where they remained into the night to establish the cause and circumstances of the accident. (SR)
