In Plattsburgh, NY on the 13th of May, 2023 passed away Lawrence Leo Myre, aged 96 years. He was the son of Ovila Myre and Philomène Gauthier. Born in Massena, NY on the 18th of August 1926. Baptised Lawrence yet known to many as Laurent. A man well learned and very determined. As a linotypist, he had worked for the two major New York newspapers during many years. A veteran of the Korean war, he served in the US Air-Force ranked as a Sergeant and military policeman. Of a strong will, he had the soul and pride of his Quebec roots. A brother loved and respected and so by his many nieces and nephews. He leaves to mourn him, his sisters Mariette, Carmen, Hélène and Raymonde as well as his brothers André and Gaetan. Predeceased by his sisters Annette and Gisèle and brothers Jean-Claude, William-Jeannot and Daniel. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 17th, at 11 a.m. at Huntingdon St-Joseph Church. The family will be present at the Church from 10 a.m. to receive the condolences. Burial at Huntingdon Saint-Joseph Cemetery.
