Teacher Chad Campbell directs students off the first bus that arrived at Ormstown Elementary for the start of the school year on September 1. The New Frontiers School Board announced just days before the return to class that buses would indeed be running throughout the territory, after last-minute negotiations with school transportation providers resulted in a settlement. The Centre de services scolaire de la Vallée-des-Tisserands was also able to sign contracts with carriers in time for a smooth start to the year. For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, class re-entry took place without any public health measures in effect.
