NFSB announces new administration at CVR

Two new vice-principals will be joining the administrative team at Chateauguay Valley Regional High School for the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

The New Frontiers School Board had previously announced the arrival of Lynn Harkness, who has taken over as principal from Gary Tennant. She will now be joined by Sandra Grant, who previously worked as a teacher at he Ormstown-based high school, and Sabrina Henderson, who has taught at the Huntingdon Adult Education and Community Centre.

Former vice-principal Melissa Larocque is now serving as the assistant centre director at the NOVA Career Education Centre in Chateauguay, while James Furey will move on from CVR to replace Collin Thomas as principal at Heritage Elementary School in Huntingdon.

The school board has also announced that Joyce Donohue will now be working alongside NFSB director general Michael Helm as the new assistant director general and secretary general. A graduate of Howard S. Billings, Donohue has been working at McGill University since 2007, where she served as the senior director of strategy and governance in the Office of the Vice-Principal, Administration, and Finance.
