With great sadness the family announce the passing of Lida Zijp on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the age of 73 years. Wife of the late Bert Pit, mother of Laura (Brad), Wendy (Slav) and Erik (Andrea), grandmother of Glade and Luke, Zaya and Niko, and Ryleigh. She is also survived by her siblings and families in the Netherlands. Lida was all heart, very involved and loved by her community. She played an especially large role in the Women’s Auxiliary of the Barrie Memorial Hospital in Ormstown, to which donations in Lida’s memory, if so desired, may be made.
A small private gathering has been held.
