Caught speeding in Ormstown
On the morning of April 20, Sûreté du Québec officers from the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent station intercepted a motorist on Route 138 in Ormstown. The offender, a 60-year-old man from Ste-Martine, was caught driving at 144 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. He was fined $812 and received 10 demerit points for the infraction. As this was considered to be a high-speed violation, his driver’s licence was suspended for a period of 7 days.
