Rudolph runners are as generous as ever

At least 118 runners and walkers took over the streets of Ormstown on November 25 for the 14th edition of the annual Rudolph Run. Dressed in their warmest reds and greens, participants didn’t let chilly temperatures stop them from hitting the pavement for the benefit of La Bouffe Additionnelle. By the time runners began crossing the finish line, a total of $4,322 had been raised to support the local food pantry’s Christmas basket campaign. Organizers Grace Brown and Darlene Legros expect additional donations will come in over the week. “People are very generous,” they say, noting that while the minimum donation was $5, very few only gave this amount. “We appreciate everybody,” they emphasize, noting there is a long list of volunteers to thank for making the event a success, as well as members of the Ormstown Fire Department, who directed traffic for the morning.
