Genie in a Bottle collection days
Bring your empties on Saturday, October 5 to the recreation centre in Saint-Antoine-Abbé (2555 Du Parc) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., This will benefit the Haut Comme Trois Pommes daycare.On Friday, October 11, a collection will happen at Godmanchester (822 Route 138) to benefit Une Affaire en Famille from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spaghetti meal
There will be a spaghetti fundraiser for Anchor and Wings on October 10 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Brasserie du Village in Huntingdon. All funds raised will go to Ancre et Ailes to support mental health. Make a difference, one plate at a time!
Hinchinbrooke Haunted House

Thanksgiving hours for area health services
The CISSSMO’s holiday closures for Thanksgiving Monday, October 14, are as follows: the Barrie Memorial Hospital in Ormstown, the Anna-Laberge hospital in Chateauguay, and the Suroit hospital in Valleyfield are closed, including for blood testing and imaging, but their emergency departments remain open. The Huntingdon CLSC reception and nursing services will be available from 8 a.m. to noon, except for blood tests and psychosocial services which are closed. The Saint-Chrysostome CLSC will be closed.
Ormstown fitness activities
At the Ormstown Recreation Centre at 87 Roy Street you can enjoy cardio workouts (Thursdays, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., call Lyne at 450-802-7110), or badminton (Tuesdays, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., call Stéphane at 450-829-2512), or pickleball (Sundays and Tuesdays from 1 to 4 p.m., equipment supplied), or do all three! Free and open to all.

Muffin Mornings are happening on Fridays at the Huntingdon United Church from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Join in for baked goodies, coffee, and friendly conversation.
Christmas baskets
Registration for Christmas baskets from La Bouffe Additionelle is ongoing until December 1 for the following municipalities: Huntingdon, Ormstown, Saint-Anicet, Saint-Chrysostome, Sainte-Barbe, Tres-Saint-Sacrement, Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, and Saint-Stanislas-de-Kostka. Call 450-264-2241.

Curling 101 for women
Riverfield Curling Club is hosting Curling 101, an eight-week program for women aged 16 years and up. Participants will learn the basics while spending time with some empowering women. Craft Mania at Heritage Elementary
