Our esteemed judges have spoken, and the results of The Gleaner’s third annual Floral Photo Contest are in. This close-up shot of a lovely Eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly resting on vibrant violet lilac flowers was submitted by Chrystal Beare, and it was selected as the winner of the contest. The second-place photograph was taken by Stacy Ouimet of her David Austin A Shropshire Lad rose in full bloom in her garden.

This landscape photograph of Danielle Jacob’s flower garden and her colourful blooms was selected as the third-place photograph. And, because we couldn’t help ourselves, we have selected Keesha Ness’ striking photo of her red hollyhocks against a stone wall.
