Vintage car meetup to be a weekly event in Huntingdon

A steady parade of vintage cars streamed into the parking lot next to the Henderson Bridge in Huntingdon on May 26, for the first of what organizers hope will become a weekly meetup for classic auto owners and aficionados. “We figured it was time to have something on this side of the bridge,” says Marc Villeneuve, who initiated the event with his wife, Julie Emond. “We had a really good turnout,” he admits, suggesting they were not sure what to expect for the first night. A total of 46 cars were on display, including the couple’s 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe. Participants arrived from Chateauguay, Valleyfield, Sainte-Martine, and across the Valley. Well over 150 people took part in the inaugural event.
