Gordon Denison of Fitness PHIT-G led the group warm-up for a crowd of enthusiastic walkers in Ormstown before everyone took to the streets for the Grande Marche on October 14. One of over 100 walks taking place simultaneously across Quebec as part of the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie’s Grande Marche, the Ormstown event was organized by the Lion’s Club in collaboration with the municipality, the Club FADOQ, and Une Affaire de Famille. The five-kilometre walk was opened by Ormstown’s mayor, Christine McAleer, and Salaberry-Suroît MP Claude DeBellefeuille who participated in the walk to raise awareness about healthy living habits.
