November continued where October left off, and then some. The last couple of days in October and the first few days of November were warm, warm, warm. The average temperature was 12.5 degrees Celsius and the normal for the month is just 2.9 degrees Celsius.
Saturday was probably a record at 25 degrees Celsius and the nighttime lows, all week, were as high as the usual daytime highs. The forecast for the remainder of the month will be more seasonal, and many of the nights in the last two weeks will experience sub-zero temperatures, some nights as low as -10 degrees Celsius.
Precipitation continued to be on the slim side, with only 5 mm of rain in the last week, meaning that there’s only been 50% of normal precipitation for the last 5 weeks. We’ll catch up a little bit, but it’s still easy going in the fields for those farmers with fall work still to finish.
