Elvis has left the Huntingdon Legion

Elvis tribute artist Sylvain Leduc brought his Elvis Reimagined – Unchained Melody tour to the Huntingdon Legion on October 1 for a sold-out performance. Fresh off being crowned champion at the Elvis Explosion competition in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Leduc wowed the audience with his true-to-life homage to the King’s final tour in 1977.

The concert is one of several events to take place at the Huntingdon Legion as part of a fundraising campaign to help cover infrastructure costs over winter. “We have had to scrape to keep the doors open these last two years,” says 1st vice-president Lorraine Arthur. She says membership with the Legion is strong but times are tough, and the organization is looking for volunteers and people with new ideas for fundraising. (SR)
