Edward Mason, Ormstown 4-H
The Ormstown 4-H Garden Club grew salad-themed gardens this year, which included vegetables that could be used to assemble a salad, such as romaine and leaf lettuce, spinach, onions, tomatoes, peppers, radishes, kale, and carrots, and a strawberry patch. All of the seeds for these crops were donated by the Uniag Cooperative in Napierville and Sainte-Barbe. Ormstown 4-H is incredibly grateful for the donations. Twenty 4-H members participated in growing gardens for the fourth year with some help from skilled parents and leaders, and there will be a garden tour that will take place in August where the gardens will be judged. Members will also show produce at Achievement Day.
