HARPER, Alexander (Alex)

On Friday, December 30, 2022, Alexander “Alex” Harper, of Ste. Agnes de Dundee passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Alex was born on May 29, 1939, in Tain, Scotland, to Alexander Innes and Marjorie Rose MacKenzie. He married Yvette Lynn Judd in 1963 and together they welcomed three daughters, Lynn, Heather and Catherine. Alex was a family man, friend, mentor and business man extraordinaire. Alex dedicated many years to The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and among many other career achievements, he co-founded Info-Crime Montreal in 1987.  Alex leaves to mourn his wife, Yvette (nee Judd), his daughters Lynn (Michael Iskra), Heather (Donald Roberge) and Catherine (Andrew Turbyne), as well as his six beloved grandchildren Kira, Daniel, Zachary, Audrey, Annabelle & Chloe. Visitation was held on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salon Funéraire Rodrigue Montpetit et Fils Inc., 170 Châteauguay Street, Huntingdon, Qc, and on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 33 Prince Street, Huntingdon, Qc. The funeral service followed the Saturday visitation at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon, the Barrie Memorial Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
