UPDATE: Missing St-Constant man found dead in Dundee

The body of Jan Sosnowski, an 86-year-old man reported missing by his family on March 2, was found late Thursday morning in Dundee.

Earlier in the day, the Régie intermunicipale de police Roussillon had issued a request for help from the public in locating the man, who had left his home in Saint-Constant Wednesday morning at the wheel of his Jeep Cherokee. The car was found abandoned in a snowbank later that evening.

According to an Agence QMI report, officers found a body lying in a ditch not far from where the vehicle had been located. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

Sûreté du Québec investigators and forensic identification technicians arrived at the scene Thursday afternoon to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding his passing.
