The Ormstown 4-H hosted the final square dance competition of the season, bringing in 13 teams to the fairgrounds on May 2. Ormstown had four teams competing, including the Ormstown Polkadots, Ormstown Purples, Ormstown Checkered, and Ormstown Blues, alongside club teams from Lachute, Richmond, Shawville, and Prescott County, Ontario, in the age categories. The event marked the 47th anniversary of the competition. The tradition was started in 1979 by the Howick 4-H club and was passed to Ormstown in 1991.
Congrats to all the teams who participated, and a huge thank-you to Ralph Templeton for being the house caller, the Neil Mackay band for their awesome music, the judges for their time, the leaders for their time guiding and practicing, the volunteers for setting up the day, and the parents who supported their 4-H kids so they could do their best.
