Around 25 people gathered outside the Huntingdon town hall on April 26, as the flags were lowered to half-mast following the death of municipal councillor Didier Le Mouëllic.
Le Mouëllic, who passed away suddenly on April 23, first joined the council following the 2025 municipal elections. Mayor André Brunette noted he had previously served as a director of the Huntingdon Economic Development Corporation, “where his vision and dynamism infused new energy that greatly contributed to the progress and growth of our community.”
Le Mouëllic was also a dedicated member of the Huntingdon fire department for over ten years.
While known for his commit-ment to the town, Le Mouëllic was best known as the co-owner and visionary head chef at the acclaimed Citron & Basilic restaurant, where he worked and lived with his wife Maude and their two children, Charlotte and Arnaud.
Those in attendance during the brief but meaningful ceremony included the mayor and municipal councillors, as well as several members of the fire department, municipal employees, and friends. (SR)
