While in transit from corn field to den, this plucky little chipmunk narrowly escaped the clutches of a crafty feline.
He hurriedly disgorged his bulging cheeks full of corn while the cat was momentarily distracted, allowing this photographer time to rescue the furry friend and set him on his way unscathed from the ordeal, but not before capturing this image.
