Spa Franklin owners win NOVA award

The local business community gathered on May 2 for the second edition of the NOVA Ceremony, organized by the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie Beauharnois, Valleyfield, Haut-Saint-Laurent (CCIBVHSL).

The ceremony was a celebration of business excellence and innovation and an opportunity to recognize the achievements of several CCIBVHSL members and partners.

The award for Young Entrepreneur under 35 years was presented by Huntingdon MNA Carole Mallette to Arielle Benny and Nathaniel St-Pierre, who own Spa Franklin. The other finalists in this category included Groupe Jutras Construction, the Shellex Consulting Group (engineering and construction management), and pressure-washing service providers Net-O-Pression.

Benny admits they were surprised and honoured to receive the award, which is now proudly displayed in the spa’s reception area.

The spa was the only business from the Haut-Saint-Laurent honoured during the evening which included five additional awards: Succession and Business Transfer (won by Émulsion Sérigraphie & Broderie); Contribution to the Community (Régate Kia Valleyfield); Organization of the Year award (CDC Beauharnois-Salaberry); Business of the Year, under 20 employees (Distillerie des 3 Lacs); and Business of the Year, over 20 employees (Shellex Consulting Group).
