2026 marks the fourth year that the Montérégie West Community Network (MWCN) has supported bringing the LOVE Project to Chateauguay Valley Regional High School in Ormstown. This program was launched in 1993, and works with vulnerable youth in the Montreal area, creating a “safe environment” for any who have experienced bullying or violence. The mission is “to support their mental health through arts-based activities that help them develop the emotional intelligence they need to thrive.”
This year, Grade 9 and 10 Alternative students celebrated completing the LOVE Project Media Arts program and participated in a vernissage where they showed off their semester’s work, which included personal reflections, journaling, and photography. Students discussed their favourite photographs and techniques that they learned throughout the program.
